• Profine Yellow Large Filter
• Quick-connect ion exchange cartridge (cationic and anionic) with mixed bed demineralizing resin.
• Removes from water: all mineral salts and temporary hardness
• It also performs a normal mesh filter action.
• Food use is strictly prohibited.
• Use only the profine R filter head (used only by filters based on ion exchange resins)

Short description:

This filter is used to obtain a total demineralization of water. Demineralization occurs through a chemical-physical process, by selective extraction of the ions constituting the salts, using an ion exchange resin (cationic and anionic).

Installation and use:

• Bayonet mount for PRO:fine Thinkwater heads and similar.
• Vertical or horizontal installation with the aid of cartridge support clips.
• 1) Before removing the filter cartridge, close the water inlet and eliminate the pressure in the circuit by opening the downstream tap.
• 2) Rotate the used cartridge 90° clockwise, then remove the cartridge from the head.
• 3) Insert the new cartridge, after removing the protective cap, and rotate it 90° counterclockwise.
• 4) Open the inlet valve and dispense water to activate the new cartridge for at least 3 minutes.

Performance

The performance of the Profine Yellow filter is strictly linked to the hardness of the water to be treated, and for this reason it varies greatly.

Water hardness is a value expressed in French degrees °f, and indicates the content of calcium and magnesium ions present in the water.

1°f = 10 mg/l of CaCO3 (Calcium carbonate)

In Italy, water is classified according to hardness:

•  - up to 7 °f: very sweet
•  - from 7°f to 14°f: sweets
•      - from 14°f to 22°f: medium hard
•      - from 22°f to 32°f: fairly hard
•      - from 32°f to 54°f: hard
•      - over 54 °f: very hard
